About the Illustrator
I’m Georgie, an illustrator based in Hertfordshire, England.
I graduated in 2000 with a BA(Hons) in Illustration and a MacMillan Prize under my belt. My first picture book, Little Brown Bushrat, was published by Macmillan and I went on to work with Orchard Books, Hodder & Stoughton and Egmont, most notably on the Rainbow Magic series of young fiction books for Orchard.
I mainly like to work in watercolour and coloured pencil or ink these days and I especially love to draw animals, children and the natural world.
When I’m not illustrating or working as an unpaid PA for my two teenage daughters, I love to run, knit, crochet, sew, bake and cook.
